system restore! I didn’t have the redirect virus a month ago so i want to go back to when i didn’t have it but i need clear explanation on how to do this! I’ve tried a lot of stuff already bleeping computer.com and many other and on top of that i also downloaded Internet Security 2012 that won’t even let me open my internet right now i’m on safe mode! Please help!

You need to say which operating system you are using so you can be told how to use system restore for that particular one. They are all slightly different.
In mine: click Start. Select Control panel. Then choose Performance and Maintenance. Once there System Restore is quite clearly visible. Click that and follow its instructions, which are surprisingly straight forward to understand. Good luck.
Oh, this is for Windows XP Pro.
Don’t reformat, you can get rid of the malware.
