I have a 2010 Chevy Cobalt. It has manual door locks (so they say). Iv had it remotely unlocked through OnStar after i left my keys in the car. They did it through their computer system. Is this considered that I have power locks? i have a Viper 5601 Alarm/Security/Keyless Entry/Remote Start. My friend installed it and said he couldn’t get the door locks to work because they weren’t Power Lock but everything else works as in remote start and the alarm. just not the door locks.

Odds are that if the dealer said that the locks are manual, and the person who installed your alarm system said that they are manual, that they are probably manual. Contact OnStar and ask if they can unlock manual locks, if not, then do some more research with your VIN number.
