Has My Pc Been Hacked Via Ip Address/keylogger/remote Desktop?

By Networking Security Posted in: ip security

I guess I’m pretty gullible, my friend knows my IP address, and the DNS server codes, he’s a REALLY SMART hacker, but he’s a good friend that I thought I could trust, nothing has happened to my PC YET. but I don’t know if he’ll do anything to it in the future. Knowing him he’ll keep the info. I tried to change my IP address, all the signs of it working appeared, but when I restarted my PC I saw that it’s still the same!! I really don’t want him to be able to have access to my PC via keylogger or remote desktop?? I know NOTHING about hacking but Ive been reading about it since he’s had my IP address. I don’t know how to SUCCESSFULLY change my IP address and still I don’t know if that would even work against him connecting to my PC, I do have Norton Security installed on my PC, Im scanning my entire laptop at the moment , norton said that it found 69 tracking cookies and that it resolved all of them. I dont know what to do!!! I need help!

For him, just knowing the IP address means nothing. Absolutely nothing. Don’t think that a hacker enters the IP address, and a PC gets hacked in an instant. It’s more complicated.
The best protection is to be careful on what you download. Don’t forget that your mind is your greatest Anti-Virus.
    Regarding changing your IP address,
First, are you sure you were checking your Internet IP address, and not your LAN IP address? Check it on http://www.whatismyip.com
Secondly, it’s not restarting your PC that resets your IP address, but restarting your Router. That’s for the case you have a dynamic IP address, which you probably have.

Why do you think you are so important that anyone would want to hack you?
You installed a firewall, and have security don’t you?. No, I don’t suppose you have.
The only way to change your IP address is to move physically.
Norton is crap, but any security program will find tracking cookies everytime it runs.

Someone knowing your IP address means pretty much nothing as its very easy to find it without you telling them.
If you want to change your public IP address then try switching your router off for 5 mms then back on again. If that doesn’t work then you have a static IP from your ISP and you can’t do anything about it.

jesus some people.. Just because you know some ones IP address doesn’t mean you can “hack” their computer and take all your nuddy pics. and dns server codes has nothing to do with your computer.

  6. Troll Patrol Says

You are paranoid! You cannot change your IP address and nobody can hack your computer knowing just your IP and the domain names. You are watching too much TV

Sounds like your friend is a nazi. No wonder they hung all the nazis after the war.

Ask your friend. If he is a friend he will respond honestly. why be so paranoid?
