It does not stop when I pull up the menu and select “Stop” and respond “Yes, I really want to do this.” Apparently someone answered my previous question with that solution, but that procedure usually does not stop the scan process. And that is my problem. Perhaps there is a named process I can stop using Windows Task Manager. Also, setting virus protection to Manual all day while I am working on my computer does not provide much protection, does it? Perhaps someone can recommend a better security package, one that allows the user to take precedence. Thanks.
