How Do Employers Know That There Is Someone In The Drive-through On A Fast Food Restaurant?

By Networking Security Posted in: security camera

I always go through the drive-through at restaurants like Mc donalds, Burger King, Panda express and Jack in the Box. As soon as I drive up by the box speaker thing they speak up. I don’t see any cameras around (mainly on the menu list) or any special platforms on the ground.
Everytime I drive through there, it makes me wonder. How do they know I am there? The only explanation that I can think of is their security cams. But I kind doubt that. Wouldn’t they have a special thing just for that area that signifies that there is a customer in their drive-through?

They do have cameras you just don’t see them. You’re not meant to see them…

The headsets make a rather annoying noise everytime a car enters the drive thru, and when they drive up to the speaker box it beeps again and then you can hear what the customers are saying.
Not to mention the number of cameras they have in there.

They are all trained to Jedi standard and use the force.
Or maybe someone gets paid to constantly repeat “welcome to McDonald’s can I take your order please” until someone replies and that would make them look well efficient.
Or maybe they have lasers surrounding the perimeter that when broken cause a worker to speak.
Maybe it’s just luck they even respond.

There is an electronic sensor in the lane that sounds an alarm to notify the workers that there is a car in the drive thru lane.
Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

There are sensors at each one and the headset beeps once ir twice depending on which one you are in front of. My store (mcdonalds) also takes a picture of the car at the speaker and saves it with your order in case of mixups

It is likely that they have sensors installed to detect when a car is present – similar to the devices used at traffic lights
They would also have cameras hidden

You run over a sensor on the ground that triggers a beep in the headsets they wear.
