don’t people realize that this entire country was built on immigration? Native Americans are the only ones who aren’t really immigrants!
People are always saying, “deport those mexicans and their anchor babies!”
Do you realize how much better it is here than in Mexico?
Do you realize that Mexicans do jobs that average white Americans DON’T WANT to do?
Do you realize that Mexicans actually pay more taxes than many U.S. citizens?
Do you realize that the vast majority of Mexicans aren’t here to commit crimes?
Taking U.S. jobs? Show me someone who WANTS to pick fruit and is PHYSICALLY CAPABLE of doing it for 10 hours + a day who isn’t mexican.
And as long as they pay taxes then I don’t have a problem. And you know how I know that they pay taxes? Because that is how ICE and immigration people track many of them down…the social security number that they give the EMPLOYER doesn’t match their name (employer pays with checks…if they pay cash, it would be very suspicious very quickly if their multi-million dollar factory/farm was being run by unreported workers), and even though it should be the employer’s fault, they are just required to shoo the mexicans away and get new workers (probably mexican).
What the heck, people?

In my region you are wrong about immigrants doing jobs that average white Americans don’t want to. Illegal immigrants have taken over the home remodelling business because they can do the work of a carpenter without asking a fair wage of a carpenter. The float drywall for minimum wage. They put a roof on a house for minimum wage. Not every Mexican picks strawberries in the field…
American businesses have gotten very greedy. By employing illegal immigrants who work for less the companies maximize their profits.
I don’t blame illegal immigrants for trying to better themselves. I blame the greedy business owners who exploit them.

Indians didnt originate in the Americas, not species of humans did, so yes, even the redskin migrated from another part of the world

An immigrant by definition is one who has undergone the legal process of immigration. It does not pertain to Americans born here. It does not pertain to people living in the nation illegally. It is impossible for someone in the US northern midwestern unaffected states to have any real comprehension of the chaotic conditions illegal migration has caused in the epicenter southwest.
Lots of people do migrant labor. Without the illegal immigrants, farm owners might actually have to respect labor laws and pay American workers fair wages … Gasp! I’m all for legal immigration, but with the economy the way it is, I don’t think that the US needs a glut of unskilled laborers being dumped into the market. I’m no racist either.
(sigh) been fighting illegal immigration since 1492. Isn’t working so well, is it?

an “immigrant” is somebody who was born in another country. Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former Governor of California, and I are immigrants in the true meaning of the term. People who were born in the United States are not immigrants; they did not migrate to the U.S. from anywhere else, the only country they know since they opened their eyes and took their very first breath is the United States. It’s “their” country, and that includes what is called “anchor babies.” There is no typical “American.” Americans come from all walks of life and all ethnic backgrounds. There are many Hispanics who are U.S. citizens and nobody has any problem with those people because they may have immigrated to the U.S. from south of the border.
This country is built on immigration, that’s correct, and thus the U.S. allows over 1 million people every year to immigrate to the U.S., over 30 million in the past 25 years to be precise. But the U.S. is also a country of laws, and thus We The People can decide which foreigners we allow to move to “our” country and which ones we do not want. It’s called immigration law and it has its rules which have been proposed, ratified, and established by people much smarter than you and I.
The foreigners we do not want are those that have shown blunt disrespect for the laws of our nation. That has nothing to do with work “we” don’t want to do, or fruit picking, or Mexicans in particular. It’s just a law thing, about right and wrong, and respect for the people of this great nation, not more, not less.

I am a US citizen living in Mexico and it’s very nice here. Their unemployment rate is a quarter of what it is in the US. Mexicans took the jobs they have from US citizens. Seriously, who do you think did those jobs before those disgusting snot balls entered the country and broke our laws? Seriously, what an ignorant comment.
They don’t just pick fruit, they are store clerks, construction workers, all fields of work. And they are not paying their fair share of taxes, most work under the table but they are a huge drain on taxes. They fill our schools at about $10,000 per snot ball per year. They fill our prisons, they ruin communities, and quite frankly, they need to be given 3 days to get out or let US citizens go hunting and shoot them.
