Ok, so today my husband and I went to a big city close to where we’re living right now and turned in an application for an apartment. the woman working there is from the dominican republic, and seems very friendly, but I keep wondering about her, like does she not want us moving in or something? We came by two days ago and she showed us an apt. even after someone had already applied for that same apt., but she didn’t tell us about it till later. Then the next day I called and asked what else was available and she told me one thing, then we came back today and she tells me something entirely different, and just says I misheard her or something when I know without a doubt exactly what she said before. Then we applied today and she called back and said there was a problem when she checked my social security number. She said it belonged to someone who was deceased, and it was issued to me before I was even born! I was like how the hell is that possible? I’m 29 years old and have used my number I don’t even know how many times without any problems. So why would that show up all of a sudden? She said to call Social Security and that’s what I did, and the lady there said that’s not possible at all cuz they never give out someone else’s number after they’ve died, and you can’t get your number before you’re born. So I’m confused, cuz if that’s not even possible, why would it have showed up when she checked my number? Or could she be lying? My husband said to call and chew her out and tell her to give us the application fees back. Does it sound like we’re being discriminated against? Btw I’m white and my hubby’s Pakistani but I wear Pakistani clothes and most people mistake me for Pakistani that’s why I’m thinking it could be discrimination. Thanks

Have you heard of paragraphs?
No, it’s not discrimination. This is just a misunderstanding.
tooo long, but no it’s not..
If you wear that ignorant disrespectful burka ,and your husband wears galabiyyas and kufis or you both wear traditional muslim clothing I don’t blame her it’s not discrimination it’s smart and protection. She’s protecting fellow citizens from your clothing and way of life. The way you muslims dress is division and chaos it’s is not unity but produces no trust for your likes here in America go back to pakistan and live there freely quit imposing your lifestyle on many honest God fearing Americans who don’t want to be near you and your false trash way of life.
I’m just saying that I would be upset.
Having said that, you’ve got nothing on her. You can’t prove what she said or what she did, and it’s so off the wall that you don’t really have anything that you can call her on. It’s probably best just to let it go. Yeah, I’ve never heard of something like that before either. It’s so odd.
