Security forces, or aerial gunner. If you do either of these or know about them, could you let me know what training is like or what a normal day is like? Thank you very much!

depend on where your stationed, your rank, etc younger enlistees do the shitty jobs like WAVE cars in haha but there are many other units like k-9 and many others so dont listen to anyone who says they do nothing and all they do is sit there because even though its a military post there still needs to be police officers cause there are many assholes haha
I wasn’t SF…but here’s a breakdown of what an SF person might do day in and day out:
Arrives to the gate. Waves cars in for 12 hours. Goes home. Repeat for 3 days. Two days off. Start cycle all over again.
or
Arrives to some hangar. Stands there for 12 hours. Goes home. Repeat for 3 days. Two days off. Start cycle all over again.
SF training:
Block 1: Carry a big wooden log around
Block 2: Learn the art of waving cars in correctly with the proper wrist action
LOL…not exactly that, but close enough.
@ David
I didn’t say that’s the ONLY thing they did. But typical of a new person in the Air Force as SF. Also, I believe you must be an E-4 first before you are allowed to apply for K9 training at Lackland.
