I’ve gone though just about every process involving http://192.168.1.1/ including cloning my PC’s MAC, changing my security from WEP to WPA pre-shared (because I don’t have WPA Personal available on the list), changing the WPA algorithm from TKIP to AES, changing the router password, resetting the router to factory settings, unplugging the modem and router, and resetting the computer, and none of my devices (DVD player, iPod, laptops, etc) will connect.
The router and modem seem to be working just fine–the lights are on and flashing in all of the right places! What could be the problem?

For connecting Linksys router WRT54G have look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3hXgK6INpkI
and also follow this steps http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wirel…
“and none of my devices (DVD player, iPod, laptops, etc) will connect.”
Will connect to what? The internet? The router? If they connect to the router, but not the internet, then everything you did with WEP/WPA is meaningless. It would help to know what kind of ISP you have, DSL/Cable/FIOS. Because you’ve changed so much and don’t know what you’re doing, start by doing a factory reset on it to get it back to default settings. Then, if you have DSL, be sure to set the router’s connection type to PPPoE. If you have Cable/FIOS, make sure to set its connection type to DHCP. Check the Status tab of the router, to see if it has an IP address. This will tell you for sure if the router is getting online or not. If it is, start testing the computers. If its not, power cycle modem and router, and check again.
Try this. Go online and do a search for “setting up/installing a Linksys WRT54G router.” You should get all kinds of links with instructions for this. Look for one that’s on YouTube and the video will really help you. Before you begin to follow the instructions for your installation, find the “reset” button on the rear of the router and get something like a toothpick that fits the hole, and then push and hold the reset button in for about 30 seconds. This will clear all information. Then use the information you’ve chosen and follow the instructions to install the router into your system. Here’s a head start on the links for you. Hope this will help.http://search.aol.com/aol/search?query=H…
