Norton Security Suite: When You Go To Network Should I Turn Computer Discovery Remote Monitoring On & Why?

By Networking Security Posted in: Network Security

I have a router hooked up to my computer, so when I go to Network I can see if other devices are using my wireless connection. I noticed to the right it says: Remote Monitoring – Computer Discovery is off, so I clicked on setup & it asked me to enter a passkey, phrase or number:http://s118.photobucket.com/albums/o81/r…
What is Computer Discovery? Should I set it up & which circle should I check? “Computer Discovery is always on” or “Computer Discovery is on only when Network Security Map is displayed”?
Also the devices only show in the Local Area Connection, when I go to Trust Control they are not there & they used to be. Why aren’t they there now?http://s118.photobucket.com/albums/o81/r…

as is without that you unprotected, click it on an put in passkey same as router and Norton will monitor for you. Put your router, modem and PC in trusted control, reboot and they come back?
