I’ve taken those “what’s your political party” tests and while I know I should take them with a grain of salt, I tend to score as a libertarian. I’ve even had people tell me that I have libertarian views. Here’s what I don’t get though– when I find out what libertarians believe, I find that I disagree with a lot of them. For instance, I disagree with having a very small government and believe that the government should have some roles in our society, and that they can be part of the solution to our problems. I think public education should be left to government, but instead of having huge federal plans or mandates, states should have more power to make decisions regarding their schools. I also disagree with having a non-interventionist foreign policy and do believe that *some* wars are justifiable and need our intervention as a country. I also don’t agree with having everything privatized either, such as social security. So what does this make me?

bwahahaha
Independent ftw!
why are you so concerned with labeling yourself? i think the smartest thing to do is stay unaffiliated and vote on propositions or politicians as they come. you seem to have a mixture of a few different parties ideologies, as most people do, but you know where you stand, just stick with that
hope this helps, sorry i couldn’t answer your question the way i presume you wanted
Like most people you are truly independent but your most likely looking for a party your closely related, and its only really worth mentioning the two major by the sounds your liberal which means democrat. So If you have to label yourself I would suggest calling yourself a left leaning independent or liberal independent. And my I also suggest just not labeling yourself. Judge politicians based on there individual character not what party there representing. By the way labeling doesn’t help when voting, its the reason the country is so bad now, if you just vote for whoever your party wants and they want some idiot that only benefits there interest (which always aren’t the purest) So the only way labeling helps is if you want to vote in a primary and your state doesn’t have open primarys.
I say you shouldn’t worry about political parties. Just care about what you believe. You don’t need a name for the things you believe. Political parties may pressure you to follow something you don’t agree with.
Sounds like you’re middle of the road. Try not to get hit by passerbys.
hmmm cough.
the higher you go (on the politcal spectrum), the more authoritarian you are. bigger government.
the lower you, the more libertarian you are, which is smaller government.
the righter you go, the more conservative you are.
the left you go, the more liberal you.
you have some clashing vertical views, so id say somewhere in the center there. but since you dont want everything privatized, then id say youd be…
wait for it….
CENTER LEFT.
well wait a sec
