People from all over the world come to the United States in search for jobs, freedoms that are restricted in their countries, for better education, and for a better life in general. This has caused a steady increase in the US population. Enforcement on existing immigration laws regarding illegal immigration in the US is getting strict. Criminal penalties are given to those that help smuggle illegals into our country, and employer sanctions prevent undocumented workers from being employed. There has also been an increase in security. Many believe that the government is being unfair and cruel to those who come to prosper.
What measures do you believe that the US government should take regarding illegal immigration in the United States?
A. Various immigrants should be given a permanent residence based on reasonable qualifications.
B. The government is already taking the right measures.
C. Illegal immigrants are taking citizen’s jobs, and should all be deported.

The poll needs more options. I dont particularly agree with any of those.
I think some immigrants could be given temporary resisidence based on specific qualifications ( im talking about like kids who are illegal but were a little kid brought here by their parents .. stuff like that ) But only temporary for say a few years, then if they have behaved themselves and done all they need to do doing then they could get permanent residency.
Any of them who have committed crimes of any kind …deported.
The laws do need to be strict and they need to be enforced.
The immigration process needs to be reformed of course.
But you cant reward people for not obeying the law.
Why do Americans feel that all illegal immigrants should be deported? Most just come to improve their quality of life. People seem to forget that this country was built by immigrants. What made immigration acceptable when your ancestors came here? What’s the difference between back then and now?

Obama himself claimed the deportion numbers, we’re misleading at a time when they claimed illegals were being deported at a record number. Obama also claimed the Mexico border was safer than ever and we can all rest easy now. DHS has the border under control.He wants to pass amnesty now the border is secured
Deport EVERYONE here illegally. I guess that would be G, as I don’t completely agree with C.
If one wants to come to the USA, then one must apply as they are supposed to. Rewarding criminals (by virtue of being in the USA undocumented makes one a criminal) for breaking the law is crazy.
C and only c. Illegal means they are breaking the law and should be treated as criminals. We prosecute our own people for breaking laws and illegals should not get any better treatment.
“C” they are law breaking criminals and need to be sent back to where they came from or jail, all of them!!

I bet the majority here are illegals acting like white Americans OR maybe Americans on welfare and food stamps!!!!!!! I’ll say none! I just believe the government should do something to STOP immigration in the borders. I hate the fact that none of you get this topic correct but shout “deport them, deport them” without knowing facts and have no life but sit wasting time on a computer protesting stupidities! But of course you guys wish you had the opportunity to deport an illegal but since guys are chickens and weak all you guys do is post your anger on a computer
I’m NOT a hypocrite Rush, I believe that if non-citizen comes to this country to work and pay taxes should be naturalized!! I just hate those who criticize them!
