I have a virus on my computer -a german virus that tells me I need to pay €100- so I started my computer in Safe Mode with Networking and downloaded McAfee Security Scan Plus.
Every time that I try to run/san for viruses it says
“Message from webpage
error initializing Updater interface”
I need to get rid of the virus – I have ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware twice and each time it founds problems and I got rid of them but the virus is still there. How can I run McAfee?
Help is appreciated! Thank you

Get rid of McAfee and use either a Norton product or AVG. Seriously McAfee sux. That is the only solution I can think of. McAfee has never, ever worked for me no matter what I did. It is too weak and too bossy and inflexible.
