hey guys,
i was thinking about internet and mobile security today and was wondering, how long do companys hold your infomation?
Do internet providers hold search history for a period of time?
And do microsoft/msn hold emails/chat logs and also last log in forever?
Also do mobile phone providers save the call logs on a system forever also?
Or does this all get wiped after a certain time? Or is it retrievable forever?
Just wanting to know a bit more about this retention of information by companies. It also makes you feel like there is no privacy on the internet.
Many thanks,
RG

Yeah..We really have to work hard to keep our privacy online. For example FB. I DELETED my account last year and few months ago, i just randomly tried to login.. That account is still there, with all the pictures and all the other stuff.. The biggest online companies FB and big G are colecting and keeping all the info about us.. WHY?
I would not take any chances with this. Always assume the worst. That is that every call, every site, every text, download or whatever is logged somewhere just waiting on someone to look at it for whatever reason. Trust no one.
