Can someone use their adsl internet connection to login into my computer and use my adsl internet connection to surf the web as if they would do it from my chair? Is the surfing history recorded on their router or on mine? I mean, am I going to be responsible for the webpages they visit, so when I go and take my history of surfing from my internet provider, is it going to list what they surfed remotely as well?

Yes someone could remote control your computer. In some cases, extremely easy! Yes you could be held responsible for their actions. You may not end up in jail if you fight it and come to prove your innocence or better yet, perhaps any investigating teams are wise enough and “know better”. Either way, it can be a real pain.
Surfing history can be maintained at your ISP. Your router or modem does not have enough memory to hang on to too much information. Servers of your ISP and your own computer will hang on to enough.
Depending on how you surf, what operating system, software used and configurations then this can have a slight impact on what is seen or recorded.
Using MS Windows will guarantee the least privacy protection, using Internet Explorer compounds this vulnerability to privacy. If you do not lock down your computer, your browser and use a great firewall system then you are giving out more information than you know.
By the way, deleting Cookies is helpful but nearly pointless if you do not do the “other things” involved. Super Cookies (stored in a separate location, can re-spawn your cookies you thought you deleted; as just 1 example).
Basically there is not privacy online and no real security in your computer beyond software/hardware used and responsible use of the system.
Totally dude, but the majority of leveraged hacks don’t use your system as a proxy for browsing: it’s used to spam other victims, or other mass data transfers…but anything is possible.
And yes, you are responsible for everything that transpires from your IP.
(Of special note it the gal in Minnesota who’s hack Windows machine was used to download pirated music. She was fined several thousands of dollars and didn’t even know what was going on.)
These ISP records can also divulge if anyone has been using your resources to send threats, child porn, and whatever…just depends on who you pizz off.
“Urx…” has good summation of the perils when using Internet services.
It is very difficult to do with out your permission. Install any good Antivirus program with Firewall.
I recommend to use Norton on your computer. Download and install the Norton on the computer.
You can install the free Norton from the following link.http://buy-static.norton.com/prod/html/p…
