Hi , My Norton 60 Day free trial version will expire in 3 days and I need another internet security fast , I was looking to get Norton 360 which includes everything for 40.00$ its on sale now , I like how Norton will tell me theirs a threat or virus and auto-remove it. I also heard its a resource hog, I mean Ive had it on every day I use my Pc and I don’t notice it hogging to much .
My Pc specs are
i7 2600k
8Gb ddr3 ram
Amd 6970
Could it be cause I have a very high end system ? I also heard kapersky is good , But it eats away ram and id rather stay with what im familiar with.. I really don’t trust free anti virus cause I had them on my old pc and it got so many viruses and was so slow.. Anyway I need help deciding , thank you

i too used the 60 trial version of Norton antivirus i intentionally injected a threat into my flash drive and scanned it with the same.To my surprise it has not detected it.the trial versions are just samples to show the customer how user friendly interface it has to attract more and more customers towards it.if he would have given his antivirus program in trial version then there is no need in buying them.So the decision you made before should be changed in my opinion. Please interact with different people who are using different licensed antivirus programs list out advantages & disadvantages of each & every program. This way it would be easy for you to decide.I too did the same way in locality the best antivirus comes out to be Quick heal internet security it is available on internet please go through it’s website.
kaspersky is one of the best antivirus with simple interface but it makes system little bit slower but scanning accuracy is fantastic but it will take so much time to scan the entire computer.
hope you find a good antivirus yourself……………
Yes the 360 version is better than previous versions of Norton, but I still can’t justify spending $40 + more very year to keep it updated when Norton is consistently outscored by Avast in every benchmark test I’ve ever seen. Avast is free for personal use. It also notifies when you have a threat and removes it. It has a sandbox mode for unknown programs which will prompt you to allow it to run in sandbox or normally in case you are not sure if the file is trustworthy.
I’d recommend you stick with what you’re familiar with. Antivirus programs are pretty equal when it comes right down to it. If you have 8 gig of RAM, you likely won’t even notice it running in the background. Protecting your computer is far more important than an extra 1/2 second of download or run time.
Norton should be fine for most people.
Haha no. Microsoft Security Essentials will work just fine and it’s free.
