It’s neck and neck between the two. TrendMicro has a slightly higher detection rate than Kaspersky but made more false positives. I don’t want to go to the details. Just read this:http://www.av-comparatives.org/images/st…
On the other hand, Kaspersky has a higher detection rate and TrendMicro made a lot of false positives based on this review:http://www.av-comparatives.org/images/st…

I use and recommend AVG Internet Security, Anti Virus, Anti Spyware, Anti Spam,Firewall, Link Scanner, Resident Shield, Family Safety, Live Kive, Email Scanner,Update Manager, Online Shield,Anti Rootkit, System Tools, PC Analyser, have to pay extra for this, not much use anyway, Identity Protection. Number of people currently protected by AVG 100 million
Number of threats AVG identify and stop every 30 days 3 billion And I would not use either of the others.
Trend Micro Internet Security
Solid program for my Vista Home Premium (32bit)
Cleaner, easier to understand interface.
Trend Support was very knowledgeable & helpful & that is a DOUBLE PLUS GOOD !
Trend has not been so good for my WinXP system.
Note:some of my client have switched from Trend to Kaspersky on Windows 7 and have said that Kaspersky was finding viruses that Trend had not.

Kaspersky 2010/2011
The interface, to me, is more cryptic than Trend’s. It seems more difficult to read the results & tune the program. Of course , after several of years, I’m very familiar with Trend’s interface & know where to go to block programs from internet access, change settings, etc.
WinXP version found more viruses, trojans, etc. than Trend.
Kaspersky Support – Haven’t tried them yet but I will very soon
But now this days Best AntiVirus is Norton 2012(It may be NAV 2012 or NIS 2012)
buy the best internet security software for as low as Rs. 1.00
Trend Micro Sec- Had a bad repuation for Slowing Down computers
I won’t believe it is too bad though after some years…..
Kapersky- I do recommend this, many experts use this.
