This doesn’t raise any red flags with anyone? Especially considering the man in question is named Ahmed Mohamed Nasser al Soofi?!?
God knows you or I would be strip searched if we had the temerity to try to smuggle a travel sized bottle of mouthwash, but these items are apparently fine if one is an adherent of the religion of pieces.

It says they checked his luggage, this could be his checked luggage rather than the carry on. All these things are ok in checked luggage. Also, you don’t know whether or not the TSA put this guy on a watch list.
Sounds like a dry run to me.
