Imagine a man who commits a serious crime. He plans the crime weeks in advance. He carefully selects his victim – a wealthy family, and more specifically, the teenage daughter. He keeps a watch on the house. He waits until she’s home alone. He then enters the property wearing a balaclava. He easily breaches the house’s security. He slunks through the corridors until he reaches the girl’s bedroom. Out of nowhere, she suddenly sees the man with a weapon in his hand. He tells her he won’t hurt her. She is too frightened to resist. He orders her to sit down. The man is calm – a cool customer. He ties her up to a metal case that has the word “explosives” written on it and a demand to contact him via e-mail. He gets the victim where he wants her without any violence. The job done, he vanishes. Nobody saw his face.
This time, police will catch him, but only because he is unaware of the CCTV cameras which capture his car at all locations where he checks his e-mail. Had they not been there, this man would still be on the loose.
The offender is middle-aged.
Is it possible this is his first crime? Can a middle-aged man suddenly turn so evil? If this is not possible then what else might he have done?

Anyone can commit a serious crime at any time in their lives.
Have worked case with the nice church going 89 year old women murdered her friends daughter in law. Only met the women once.
Old lady raised 4 fine kids and after working as a librarian for 40 years volunteered as an adult illiteracy teaching aid.
Got lots of public pressure and threats that we should find the “real” offender even after she pleaded guilty in court and made public televised statements (cause she felt bad about us getting yelled at) admitting to the crime.
Basically said she felt like killing.
Long story short, this is possible. Yes a middle-aged man can suddenly turn evil. Anyone could if they wanted to. Clearly, this man here probably lost it and just wanted **** to go down for someone.
Edit:
There is the possibility of screw ups, but he was probably a clever man. Men like that exist and there are ones that do things like this.
No one is a “perfect” criminal. They were either aiding someone else while training or they had practice before.
People ALWAYS screw up. they forget things, they panic, they hurry and make a mistake.
People whom can commit such acts without losing their cool have don’t something similar before.
yes it could be his first crime, if people don’t want to get court they plan things carefully, for example if he wasn’t wearing gloves his fingerprints would be everywhere anyway. it was planned carefully to avoid him getting court but criminals always forget things, their are several reasons people can turn and do things so evil. whether it is a change in circumstances, a family history, or just the thought of getting money. (i am guessing he ties her up for a ransom). any crime can be your first crime, then again it could just be the only one police catch you with.
are you basing this on the wealthy teenage girl who had a bomb tied to her neck.
the age for somebody to be held accountable for their actions is 10
