I have looking for a job here like crazy in California.
I applied to lots of jobs and I got lots of call backs and had LOTS of interviews.
Well I went to go apply at a local grocery store and the form did not ask for a social security number or if I would be able to furnish proper identification and proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
They had a bunch of Mexicans working there and I am sure that they could not all have social security numbers or the right to work in the United States.
So who could I report this too so that this company can be investigated?
I mean there are lots of US citizens that can not get jobs and this is the reason why I would say.
And we all have bills to pay and if we have the LEGAL right to work then we should LEGALLY be making money not ILLEGALLY letting ILLEGALS make money that US citizens could be making.

P.S. I did find a job but I do not think this is fair for others.

There’s no law that states a job application must ask questions regarding eligibility to work in the United States or for a Social Security number. In fact I think most of us would rather not have to supply our Social Security number until it was actually needed.
Employers are required to complete an I-9, the immigration form that essentially forces an employer to hire legal workers. These forms are to be kept and available for inspection by immigration officials.
The problem in California is your liberal population (in some areas) and screwed up government. While immigration may play a part in California’s problems, I think you give it far too much credit. California is screwed up because of US citizens who do stupid things and support stupid policies, not because of illegal immigration.
