Hi. I’m running windows 7 64-bit on my mac via bootcamp. I was wondering, which firewall is better – Windows or Kapersky? Obviously I know kapersky is better, but the only problem is, it is now 2012, and I have kapersky pure 2011. Kapersky PURE is supposed to be the ultimate version of kapersky which offers 100% security, but its from 2011. I ran an update just 5 minutes back and it said, kapersky security enabled..and the bar was green, which means its status is good. But I’m just worried about the fact that its 1 year old. Did the firewall get updated too when I updated kapersky? Would the windows firewall be up to date? Which one should I use?

Kapersky firewall is very good but it may slow down your computer.Windows Firewall is good not the best.
I used my windows 7 64-bit dell inspiron 1764 without any antivirus programs and it worked without any problems so i would prefer windows firewall cause it keeps your computer clean and speed is skyhigh. and i now use comodo internet security pro 2012 for just $5.00/yr and still my laptop speed is skyhigh.
kaspersky 2011 will work fine, the reason they do a yearly release is to add new features, the actual protection like firewall and antivirus is usually pretty much the same as long as you update regularly it should work until your licence expires.
don’t worry about it…Kaspersky should run just fine…if you’re feeling nervous, you can run them both in tandem
kaspersky definately..
windows..
